For my 12-week work placement, I worked at Learning Pool, an e-learning platform builder based in Derry. During my work placement, I mainly worked on designing demo e-learning courses for the company to show to their clients. One of the courses I designed was a demo course in a theme of my choice. After reviewing previously created courses, I chose a scrapbook/journal theme that strongly emphasised vector illustrations. Along with the illustrations, I utilised a script typeface as the primary typeface and a cosy but accessible colour palette to set the hand-made tone of the course. Each page has a specific colour assigned to help break up information as the user goes through the pages. The course received a positive response once it was finished.
