Dathanna Mo Chroí is a collection built around storytelling, memory and the emotional values I’ve grown up with, love, courage, kindness, and hope. Each look reflects one of these values expressed through colour, silhouette, texture and how the garments are made. As part of my brand Chuig na Réaltaí, I see fashion as a way to express emotion and personal experience rather than following trends. This collection is really a reflection of my life as it comes from my own experiences and explores how clothes can hold meaning and memories. The Irish language plays a role in shaping this collection's identity. Growing up with dyslexia I didn’t learn Irish in school and always felt a bit disconnected from that side of my identity. Through this collection I’ve been able to incorporate it by using Irish titles in a way that feels personal and creative. The aesthetic mixes maximalist streetwear and playful layering with Irish craft elements like wool and crochet. Oversized silhouettes create a sense of comfort and protection, while softer layers reflect warmth and care. Each look also includes a chunky knit handbag paired with an animal themed leather charm acting as a small symbol that connects back to the emotion and story behind each look.
