‘The Daydream State’ collection for Spring/Summer 2027 explores escapism, imagination, and the emotional worlds we create to feel safe, inspired, and understood. Designed by Kellipop, the collection reflects the idea that fashion can be a portal, a way to step into a desired reality, whether that is a comforting memory of home, a creative dreamscape, or a place built entirely in the imagination. The Kellipop customer is a modern dreamer, aged 18–30, who feels deeply connected to emotion, music, and storytelling. She romanticises everyday life, finding beauty in quiet moments and poetic details. Her aesthetic leans towards soft, nostalgic elements, but comfort and sensory experience are just as important as appearance. For her, clothing is not simply functional; it is a way of expressing identity, emotion, and inner fantasy. The fabric for this collection is a mix of 100% cotton canvas, sponsored tweed from McNutt of Donegal and printed fabric that I designed. The printed fabric was measured to the garment pattern shape, and only the exact fabric required was printed to minimise waste.
