Distant Echoes is a collection that explores the tension and harmony between cultural conflict and personal transformation through tailoring. Influenced by my Chinese upbringing and Irish environment, the collection reinterprets themes of division, resilience, and identity in a contemporary fashion context. Each look uses tailoring as a symbol of constructed perfection - where clean, precise silhouettes conceal the complexity behind them. Angular cuts meet soft drapes, expressing the push and pull between structure and fluidity. The coarse Irish tweed paired with fine Chinese silk reflect the collision and blending of cultural narratives. This collection goes beyond aesthetics. It uses clothing as a medium to explore memory, identity, and the stories we carry. Distant Echoes transforms conflict into craftsmanship, creating garments that are both deeply personal and universally resonant.
