Retro Nostalgia

Inspired by retro graphics and packaging from the sixty’s era, and in particular the remaining artefacts from my Grandparents shop, this contemporary range boasts sharp box-like shaping from the iconic packaging complimented with retro graphic prints. Initial influences came whilst exploring the storage room of my Grandparents shop, where I came across old boxes in a tiny office, which hasn’t been used for many years. The distinct branding, typeface and colours from the vintage packaging, so graphic and striking, inspired a range of printed fabrics. The type that can be seen in one of my prints is the packaging from a Metamec clock – which is ironic as my inspiration came from going back in time. This ethically made and sustainable range is not fashion-trends led but considered to be trans-seasonal. The retro collection brings a new concept to the market, making a statement with bold minimalistic and simplistic graphic prints in an easy to wear bull denim fabric with clean-cut geometric shaping.
